About Call Dan First

I began Call Dan First after realizing many people need assistance using, maintaining and repairing their computers. I knew I could offer affordable, personalized technical supprt to help people by taking the aggravation of using computers that were designed to make our lives easier!

I became an A+ Certified Computer Repair Technician and also recevied my Net+ networking certification. Since then I've helped dozens of customers take control of their computers, advised them on purchasing new computers, and installed wi-fi networks in their homes.

My parents have thousands of negatives and slides that I was concerned would decompose to the point where they were not viewable. So I set out to purchase a film and slide scanner to digitize the memories from my childhood as well as theirs. I spent about a year working on their film and now have a collection of memories stored in my comptuer that date back to 1951! As if digitizing the still images wasn't enough, I purchased another device and scanned all of their Regular 8 and Super 8 home movies. Now I have a true historical media collection of my parents' lives that I can enjoy and also show my children. Best of all, there are no projectors, bulbs or movie screens to set up! I put all my film online and my siblings can enjoy it as well.

My goal is to help more people preserve their memories and put them in a format the whole family can enjoy.
